Theme
The theme and main symposium of the 2008 meeting is Entomology on the Edge. Plans are to hold a collecting trip on Sunday afternoon on part of the magnificent East Coast Trail, followed by an evening reception and registration, two days of talks on Monday and Tuesday including a competition for best student talks and posters, and a banquet that you won't forget.

Venue
The meeting will be held at The Battery Hotel and Suites in St. John's, NL. The hotel is situated midway up historic Signal Hill and offers a stunning view of St. John's harbor and city. It is a short cab ride from the airport, and a 15-minute walk from downtown bars, restaurants, and shopping. The hotel is in a national historic area and a short walk from an ocean-view hiking trail.

We are pleased to announce that this year's banquet will be held at The Rooms, "Newfoundland and Labrador's newest cultural space" which houses the Provincial Museum, the Provincial Art Gallery and the Provincial Archives under one roof. The banquet will be preceded by a guided tour of this spectacular building.
